About Asian Garden
Asian Garden is a chinese restaurant in Highland, New York. It is listed at 25 Main St, Highland, NY 12528, which places it among the local businesses of Highland that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.
In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Highland; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in New York are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.
Hours are published for 2 days a week. Typical hours are 11 AMβ10:30 PM. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (845) 691-9988. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is asiangardenhighland.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
Customers rate it 4.3 out of 5 on Google across 185 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded chinese restaurants in Highland.
Highland is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Highland is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Very disappointed. I ordered chicken with broccoli and garlic sauce and fried wontons for an appetizer. The sauce was so watery it was flavorless. The chicken was rubbery and even the fried wonton red sauce was so liquidy it wouldnβt stick to the wonton. First time Iβve ordered here and will never order again. Disgusting.

I have eaten at this restaurant twice now and each time the encounter was the same. The food was decent but definitely not scratch made. The food quality was the same as any other small Chinese restaurant. The pork egg roll was pretty good. The atmosphere was the weakest part of my meal. The hostess/waitress did not greet me, seat me or follow up to check on my food satisfaction or refill my drink. The checkout was just as cold. Take card, say price and sign. No thank you. I felt like I was an inconvenience. If the mid-Hudson bridge was not under construction, I would take the time to drive over to Poughkeepsie and skip this place. Sorry Asian Garden but you need to recognize your issues and do better.

Great variety and always high quality! One of their very ambitious sons is always studying at the counter. Just a great family business to have in the community and always solid food. The hot and sour soup and the hibachi items are stand-outs.

Start to finish our meal here was amazing, savory and simply delicious. Such care was put into the Passion fruit teas w/ sliced fruits including limes, lemons and orange π We ordered the rainbow roll which I did not photograph but wish I had. Beautiful presentation and very fresh tasting, the tuna, the salmon and crab with avocado. So very good! We also ordered the hibachi combos. I had the steak and shrimp which came so presentable with the most perfectly steamed vegetables too. The quality of food and presentation was amazing and we were all left wanting this restaurant to pick up and move to westchester. What a gem of a place!

Looking for a different taste for dinner, we decided to check out this establishment. We were pleasantly surprised to see the entrance was accessible. The place looked clean with plenty of seating. The server was friendly & the order came out within a reasonable time. When the dishes arrived, presentation was good. The food wast warm & tasty. One dish out of the 2 was a good portion size. The atmosphere was average & seating was decent. Handicapped accessibility stopped at the entrance as the restroom was unable to accommodate a wheelchair which was a disappointment.
